A non-exhaustive list of things I miss:
I miss school holidays when I was a kid, where I would spend two whole weeks reading Asterix or Tintin or X-Men or Phantom Comics.
I miss riding my bike around the neighbourhood for no reason other than it was something fun to do.
I miss making friends with people my parents didn’t really want me to be friends with.
I miss creating huge stories and battles with my action figures (boy dolls).
I miss wandering through the library and browsing for interesting looking books.
I miss playing Dungeons & Dragons and other roleplaying games.
I miss working on student theatre productions, and taking drugs at the opening and closing night parties (and sometimes at the parties in between).
I miss playing the guitar.
I miss volunteering in Lee Rhiannon’s office and learning how to do all the things from Alison, Susie, Jemma and Chris.
I miss living and working in a youth hostel in the Czech Republic.
I miss waiting for new episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I miss eating food before I knew how it was made.
I miss studying something week to week, a short course, a university degree, anything.
I miss having children as a regular part of my life. Life with children around contains frequent adventures, learning and lots of laughter.
I miss life without back pain.
I miss not having to budget and save money.
I miss practicing yoga every day.
I miss buying books without worrying about all the books at home I haven’t read yet.
